Lake of Menteith 19th June

6ft Water Temperature 14.C , Clarity (Secchi disc) 1.95m.

There are signs that clarity is starting to
improve with a change of wind
direction to light westerlies yesterday.
Some great memorable rises and
catches interspersed with periods where
fishing is reported as very hard! The
fish may be on the move with good
catches on buzzers, hoppers and dries
reported from the Rookery, Gateside,
Malling Shore and out in the open - last
night.

Left; Wullie Leitch from Falkirk
rescued this Swift which had captured
an angler’s fly and landed in the drink,
unable to take off. It required a spell
under the hand drier and a high perch for take off. These birds only normally land to breed!

Disabled International Update: We have been blessed with warm and calm weather for this
event and after the first day of the disabled international the Scots have 22 fish, Ireland 15,
England 13 and Wales 11.
