2. FORBES OF KINGENNIE (Broughty Ferry) The weather might not be that

summery at Forbes of Kingennie but it hasn't affected the fishing one bit. The good

flush of water last week has really helped the ponds back to fool height and the

fishing has really benefited.

The Boathouse has been holding a bit of colour but the fish have been quite active

and again most lures have been taking fish with Cat’s Whiskers or Yellow Dancers

being the most popular at the moment. The best fish this week was taken by Mr

Norrie with an 8lb 13oz rainbow caught on an Orange Blob.

The Burnside has also been a wee bit coloured and lures have been the best

method intermediate lines with a Cat’s Whisker or a Damsel have been taking

most of the fish there are still plenty fish coming out on the dry fly as well when the

weather has suited.

The Bankside has probably been fishing the best with lots of fish coming out to most

methods. Buzzers and Nymphs fished on the washing line has been by far the best.

but Damsels and lures are still taking fish – however, they seem to be shying away

and just nipping at the flies. Again dries are catching a lot of fish when the weather

has been right.

The Woodside Pool has been fishing well with Powerbait still proving to be the best

bait. There are still fish falling to worms and the spinner but they just haven't been

so effective Mr Bradley had a great day with his two sons on Sunday taking 6 fish for

11lb with the biggest being a 3lb 12oz specimen caught on Green Powerbait.

3. MARKLE (East Lothian) The biggest fish off last week was a cracking rainbow

of 13lbs that was caught on a Buzzer by John Thomson from East Linton but

not far behind with a 12lbs 12oz fish was Matty Devine who also used a Buzzer.

Head Damsel, Keith Watson, Newcastle, 3 for 9lbs 8oz on a CDC and Guy Roche,

6. SWANSWATER (Stirling) It was a week of mixed fortunes at Swanswater with

some anglers doing very well and others struggling a little.
