weighing 8lb, Aberdour A/A 29 fish weighing 82lb 14oz – heaviest 7lb 4oz, Heriot A/
C 13 fish for 39lb 8oz and released a further 38, Grangemouth Railway A/C 13 fish
weighing 36lb 12oz and the Riverside FFC kept 9 fish weighing 17lb 8oz.
2. FORBES OF KINGENNIE (Broughty Ferry) The warmer weather has made all
the difference this past week at the fishery with most fish falling to either dries or
buzzers.
The Bankside has been on very good form, most of the fish are holding in the
deeper water but are still very keen to take. Buzzers really have been the most
consistent method with black and light olive being the favoured colours. The dry fly
fishing has been very good but the flies really do need to be small. Mr Barlow had
a great mornings sport thought the week releasing 13 fish in just 4 hours fishing all
taken on small Buzzer patterns.
The Boathouse has been fishing well now that the colour has dropped out of the
water. Lures continue to take most fish but smaller flies are taking more than their
fair share - the Okey Dokey has been very popular. Mr Holmes took 2 fish for 12lb on
Friday morning both taken on a small Damsel.
The Burnside has been a bit more fussy with Buzzers again being the preferred
method but there has also been a lot of fish taken on fast sinking lines with big lures.
Mr Crowther took 11 fish in just a couple of hours on a White Polar Bear fished on a
Di 5 line.
The Woodside has been very good with green Power Bait doing best. Some better
than average fish have been taken this week with biggest falling to the rod of Mr
Hughes with a 3lb 4oz rainbow.
3. MARKLE (East Lothian)
4. MORTON LOCH (Livingston) NO REPORT THIS WEEK
5. ORCHILL LOCH (Braco) The water has been fishing well this week in all kinds

fly.

– best 6lbs on a Hare’s Ear, Ian Bayne, Dunblane, 2 for 6lbs 8oz on a Mini

three ponds.
