3. ORCHILL LOCH (Braco) It has been a fair week with the fish moving all around but being very particular about what they take - very frustrating at times but patience is always rewarded.Dries and lures have been catching with a very slow to static retrieve most of the time but a bit of colour and sparkle seems to attract them when it is like this.

4. MARKLE (East Lothian) NO REPORT THIS WEEK
5. SWANSWATER (Stirling) The breezy, slightly fresher weather for most of the week led to signs that the Browns are becoming more active and showing more. A good few featured in the catch returns, either being taken or being returned. Generally the fish were being seen in the top 2-3 feet although they appear to be feeding deeper than that and deeper than would normally be expected at this time of year. Many anglers were hitting fish that seemed to be sheltering deeper down and feeding in areas where there is some weed. Best results were to be had using an intermediate line with a moderate retrieve and a variety of flies were successful including Cormorant, Diawl Bach, Damsel, Daddy Long Legs, Black Spider, Bibio, Soldier Palmer and Buzzer.
One of the most successful anglers this week was Gary Waugh, Cumbernauld, who landed 5 for 13lb 4oz, including 2 Browns, from the boat, and caught and released another 2 fish and helped release a duck! Also doing well from the boat was Frank Barr, Falkirk, who made two visits to the Fishery and left with 9 for 20lb 12oz, including a Brown, plus 1 returned. The biggest fish of the week was a lovely 8lb 3oz Rainbow landed by Drew Lamb, Alloa, on Sunday afternoon.David Aitken, East Kilbride, had a 6lb 12oz Rainbow in his bag of 2 for 9lb 4oz. Another successful angler making two visits this week was Donald McMurchy, Plean, who landed 8 for 18lb 12oz.Jim Denny, Dunipace, fishing from the boat took 3 for 8lb and returned another 2.Several anglers opted for sporting tickets with Kevin Gray, Camelon, releasing 6 and Connor Meiklejohn, Stirling, returning 4.
6. WOODBURN (Milton of Campsie) It was a very good week with plenty of specimens in the 4 to 6lb class featuring in the baskets. The high water temperature was making things a wee bit difficult for some but in the main various lures fished on an intermediate line seemed to do the trick. John Shaw from Kilsyth had a superb brown of 4lbs, Stuart Lee, Denny, 4 for 14lbs 8oz – best a 4lb 4oz blue, Craig Noble, Bearsden, 1 at 5lbs, Mr Thomson, Cumbernauld, 3 for 15lbs – best 7lbs 2oz and Stephen Laden from Stirling caught 3 blue trout for 11lbs 8oz – best 4lbs 6oz.Also doing well was Mr Salmon from Helensburgh with 3 for 9lbs 12oz, Mr Luddington, Kirkintilloch 6 for 19lbs, Gary Paton, Kilsyth, 3 for 13lbs, Mr. Cameron, Clydebank, 7 weighing 20lbs and C Craig from Glasgow took one at 5lbs 8oz.
