2. FORBES OF KINGENNIE (Broughty Ferry) NO REPORT THIS WEEK

3. ORCHILL LOCH (Braco). It has again been a very mixed week of weather, but the fish are still taking on the top or just under the surface with dries to lures.   The feeding on top and in the water is so plentiful that the fish are being quite fussy and you have got to give them time to take your artificial flies.
Jim Jarvie from Larbert had 2 fish for 8lbs on an Okey Dokey, R. Stevenson,            Newarthill, 3 for 14lbs on a Cruncher, Eric Law, Paisley, 3 for 10lbs 8oz on an Ally, J Stewart, Motherwell, 3 for 11lbs 4oz on an Olive Hopper and William Hay from Falkirk used a Dry to take a brace weighing 7lbs. J Grant from Glasgow caught 2 for 6lbs on a Black & Green Nymph, Dave Wilkie, Stirling, 3 fish weighing 11lbs 8oz on a HH Damsel, and John Beatson from Alloa had 3 for 10lbs on a Black & Green Nymph. Dave Lawson from Methven used an Electric Blue Damsel to catch 2 for 12lbs 8oz, Dave Lewis, Cumbernauld, 4 for 11lbs on a Yellow Dancer and James Gunn from Perth took 2 for 8lbs on a Black Fritz.

4. MARKLE (East Lothian) John Daly from Edinburgh used Bloodworms to catch 6, Darren Darling, Edinburgh, 6 on a Diawl Bach, Arniston FC caught 9 weighing 22lbs 12oz and Tam Russell Jnr. and Snr. Shared 16 on a mixture of dries and buzzers. R bell from Edinburgh had 5 on the Diawl Bach, Neil Raeburn, Edinburgh, 6 on various lures ad Derek Demarco from Haddington had 4 on Dries.

5. SWANSWATER (Stirling) The week started with a double for local angler Kyle Crossan when he bagged a 10lb 4oz Rainbow on a gold head Daddy, fished with a fast retrieve just under the surface.  He continued to get loads of follows and takes before bagging another 8lb 12oz Rainbow.  This set the pattern for the rest of the week with loads of offers and fish seen chasing, but once again anglers finding it challenging to land the fish.  Another big fish was landed by Mike Needham from Liverpool, weighing in at 7lb 4oz.
Fish were mostly going for small nymphs, wets and dries with Greg Donaldson doing really well fishing a Muddler and Kate McLaren combination from a boat.  The fish were generally in the top 2 to 3 feet of water, with a lot showing on the surface.  Some of most successful patterns this week were Hopper, Spider, Diawl Bach, Hare’s Ear, Damsel and the occasional lure.  Fishing was looking good towards the end of the week with quite a few anglers getting bag limits although things slowed a little with the muggy weather on Sunday.

6. WOODBURN (Milton of Campsie) The weather was extremely wet last week and this had the effect of putting the fish down deeper in the water table so intermediate lines were possibly the best choice but during the drier, warmer spells dries were still working well.
Highlight of the week was the catching and safe returning of a magnificent 13lbs 8oz brown trout by Duncan McCallum from Renton who also caught four rainbow trout as well. Note. All the brown trout stocked are seldom in excess of 3lbs and this demonstrates the terrific feeding that is available. A picture of this fine specimen is attached.
Also doing well was Mr McCann from Kirkintilloch with a blue trout of 2lbs 6oz, Mr Dobbie, Glasgow, had a blue trout of 7lbs, G. Craig, Glasgow, had a brace for 10lbs, Duncan Stewart, Lenzie, 4 on C/R and Jim Malone from Kirkintilloch took 4 weighing 11lbs. B. McGowan from Glasgow Caught 3 for 8lbs, Mr Gild, Airdrie, 6 on  C/R, Alex Nisbet, Irvine, 2 for 6lbs, Mr North, Irvine, 4 weighing 13lbs 5oz, Ian Bach, Irvine, 3 for 6lbs 8oz and J. Wilson from Kilsyth had a fine rainbow of 5lbs 4oz. Mr McLean from Twecher had 2 for 5lbs 4oz, John Shaw, Kilsyth, 6 on 6 C/R, Stewart Sutherland, Kirkintilloch, 6 on C/R, James Tallis, Milton of Campsie, 4 for 11lbs 3oz and A. Bruce from Cumbernauld had 5 on C/R.
