Western Angling club(WAC) 1st outing on the Lake

Yesterday saw my 1st club outing of the season and I was delighted to be fishing with Scottish team member Davey Stuart of (Taste of the Trossachs, fab lill cafe in Callander.)
It was a beautiful, bright sunny day (not necessarily the best fishing conditions !)however it wasn't too long before Davey had a nibble and then a fish, although I had a few touches the morning proved fruitless. All change for the afternoon, put on a sinking line, used my own home tied flies and wallop a nice 5lb 10oz rainbow followed by a couple of Jack pike and finished of the day with another 2lb rainbow.
All in all it was a tough day for most of the club members with exception of Donald Cameron Jnr who bagged 5 in the morning and a bunch more in the afternoon.
Looking forward to the next outing.
