Adam Henson of country file was invited to toast the river Teith in the opening ceremony held yesterday.
It was a lovely day though still very cold, the local primary school turned out along with a large local gathering of enthusiasts and fisher people.
Disappointlingly only half a dozen kelts were caught, no springers ! however the river is very low although there is still a lot of snow on the Ben.
Permits are now available for the Teith and Forth.
