It was my Aunt and Uncle's 65th wedding anniversary on the 22nd of Jan so we were all looking forward to a special day with a family get together at the Dunblane Hydro last Sunday.
It was shocking, absolutely shocking !
We arrived at 12 noon to eat for 1pm...We received our first drink at about 12.40 cokes, gingerbeer for drivers, red wine, g&t's, whiskey and water etc  nothing outrageous like mad cocktails, we had booked for 15 however the table was set for 12 ! There were no condiments, cutlery was all wrong, only those with soup were offered bread rolls, we had to ask for butter, our starter arrived at 2.10pm, main at the back of 3pm and desert was finished by 4pm, coffee and tea with no teaspoons ! One very young waiter,who was well out of his depth to serve every one.
The food was excellent though very small portions, I had Lamb as there was no roast beef and yorkshires on a Sunday, very disappointed !
As a family we had a great time catching up on all the gossip, however as a venue for a special event we were VERY, VERY DISAPPOINTED and will not be back !
Nick Nairn should be careful about who he associates with, the Hydro need to buck up there ideas.      .
