The following reports are for the week ending Sunday, 01 January, 2012.
1. FRANDY (Gleneagles) CLOSED UNTIL MARCH 2012
2. FORBES OF KINGENNIE (Broughty Ferry) The end of the year finished very well
at Forbes of Kingennie with the Hogmanay Competition bringing the year to an end.
The Boathouse and Burnside ponds held competitions and with a good turn out on
both ponds the competition was set to be fierce.
On the Boathouse Pond the prize for biggest bag went to Bruce Martin who
managed a great basket weighing 21lbs 7oz but he was pipped by Boab Miller for
the big fish prize by only a few ounces to Bob’s fish of 8lbs 3oz.
On the Burnside Pond the prizes were taken by George Birse who managed the
biggest fish and the biggest bag. Most of the fish taken were on lures teamed with
intermediate lines.
The Bankside Pool is also fishing very well at the moment. the fish have been
chasing around the bays hammering into fry any kind of lure or fry patterns are
working well when teamed with floating line or midge tip.
The Bait Pond has seen fish keen to hit spinners, very small Mepps or very small
Toby style lures have been taking a lot of fish but they will still gulp down a ball of
Powerbait if offered at the right depth.
The Forbes of Kingennie management thank you for all your support over the past
year and hope to see you all again in the near future – Happy New Year from Jonnie
and Grant and all the team.

5. MORTON LOCH (Livingston) NO REPORT THIS WEEK
6. ORCHILL LOCH (Braco) HAPPY NEW YEAR to everyone from Elizabeth and
the Staff and let’s hope it stops raining and we get a few more good day's for fishing
before the end of the holiday's. There have been a few anglers out last week in the
very mixed weather and the fish again were mainly being caught near the top with
Pink, White, Black & Green, Yellow, HH Damsel and buzzers.
Dave Wilkie from Stirling took 5 fish for 13lbs on a Damsel, Ian Sloan,
Almondbank, 5 for 12lbs on a Pinky, Steven Leydon, Stirling, 3 for 8lbs on a Damsel,
Robert Young, Kilsyth, 3 for 8lbs on a Black & Green Fritz and Mervyn Gough,
Stirling, 3 for 9lbs on a Hot Head Damsel. Jim Marshall from Stirling caught 4 fish
weighing 10lbs 8oz on a Damsel, Peter McGrath, Perth, 3 for 9lbs on a Damsel and
John Hutchison, Alloa, 3 for 8lbs on an Olive.
7. ORCHIL LOCH COARSE PONDS (Braco) NO REPORTS UNTIL MARCH 2012
8. SWANSWATER (Stirling) Happy New Year and tight lines for 2012 to all from
the management and staff of Swanswater.

from Glasgow, with runner-up George Paterson, and Willie Martin and Mark Turner
sharing third place. A total of £1600 in aid of Strathcarron Hospice was raised from
the raffle, sales of tea and coffee and Buzzers tied by Peter Bryce over the year,
and various donations. Many thanks to all involved. On the day of the competition
those not taking part who were fishing the small ponds had some excellent sport with
several bag limits taken, including many featuring Tigers.
Mick Stubberfield, Cowie, ended the year on a high note taking the biggest fish this
week, a 9lb 8oz Rainbow in his bag of 3 for 14lb 8oz, which also included a Blue.
Other good bags included Ronnie Codona, Glasgow, 5 for 17lb 4oz including 2 Blues
Willie Martin, Stirling, 2 Blues for 9lb 11oz, bigger one at 6lb 6oz,Mark Turner, Alloa,
2 for 9lb 11oz including 5lb 10oz Rainbow and Davy Horne, Stirling, 3 for 11lb
including 5lb Rainbow and 2 Blues. Steve Griffin, Kilsyth, 3 for 10lb 8oz including

including a Tiger.
