The following reports are for the week ending Sunday, 19 August, 2012.
1. FRANDY (Gleneagles) On the individual front Tom McCartney from Airth kept
5 fish weighing 14lb, Rab Maxwell (Ceres) 5 fish weighing 17lb, Willie Johnson
(Bannockburn) 2 fish for 6lb and released 1 and Jim Donnelly (Tullibody) kept 2 fish
weighing 5lb 8oz and released 3. Hamish Fulton from Menstrie had 2 fish weighing
6lb and Leonard & Jim Young (Kennoway) caught 4 fish weighing 12lb and released
4.
As far as the clubs were concerned the Dundee West End A/C kept 19 fish weighing
40lb 9oz, Strathclyde Police A/C 27 fish weighing 64lb 2oz – heaviest caught by Tom
Gilchrist weighing 4lb 9oz, Midlothian A/A 12 fish for 20lb 8oz and Stirling Castle A/
C kept 21 fish weighing 57lb 2oz. Linlithgow A/C caught 18 fish weighing 39lb 10oz,
Gulls Nest A/C kept 2 fish weighing 6lb, Perth Civil Service A/C 10 fish for18lb 10oz
and Denny & District A/C kept 11 fish weighing 23lb 4oz.
The top taking flies included the Kate McLaren, CDC Hoppers, Muddlers, Yellow
Dancer and the Hot Head Damsel and the best fishing areas have proved to be the
North Shore Dogleg ad the Dam Wall.
2. FORBES OF KINGENNIE (Broughty Ferry) NO REPORT THIS WEEK
3. MARKLE (East Lothian) It was a very quiet week with the hot humid conditions
keeping the anglers away. However, Joe Beattie from Edinburgh used a Black &
Green Rabbitiser to take one at 12bs, Bruce Hunter, Edinburgh, caught 10 on catch
and release using a Damsel and Jack Hay, Haddington, took one at 8lbs 8oz on a
Buzzer.
4. MORTON LOCH (Livingston) The clubs were out in force with the Perth Anglers
taking 25 fish for 61lbw 2oz, Darvel Kingfisher AC had 28 for 74lbs 8oz, Cockburn
AC 33 for 67lbs 12oz and Dunfermline AC took 32 fish for 68lbs6oz. M Leask from
Livingston had 7 on C+R on a Rabbit, Bennett, Livingston, 6 weighing 13lbs 8oz on
a Blob, G McGill, Cumnock, 4 for 12lbs on a Diawl Bach, D Black, Edinburgh, 11 on
C+R and Chick Telfer, Gorebridge, used a Grey Hen to bag 4 for 11lbs 2oz.
5. ORCHILL LOCH (Braco) The weather was extremely changeable last week so
the fish have been taking at various depths according to conditions at the time which
could just change in an instant.

10lbs 8oz on a Bloodworm. Bob Ross from Kilsyth caught 1 fish for 5lbs on a Black
Nomad, Kevin O'Brien, Falkirk, 2 for 7lbs on a Bibio, R Stewart, Errol, 2 fish for
8lbs on a Buzzer, Bob White, Alloa, 22 for 4lbs 8oz on a Grouse & Claret and Allan

6. SWANSWATER (Stirling) As is common at this time of year the fishing this week
was quite challenging, although as usually happens some anglers had no problem
