The following reports are for the week ending Sunday, 15 July, 2012.

1. FRANDY (Gleneagles) The Milngavie A/C kept 23 fish weighing 39lb 8oz, Catch

22 A/C 8 fish for 22lb, Heriot A/C 14 fish weighing 35lb 13oz and released a further

27 and Perth Ex-Servicemen’s A/C took 9 fish weighing 22lb. Aberdour A/C kept 31

fish weighing 54lb 12oz, Dunfermline Railway A/C 5 fish for 8lb 3oz and Dollar A/C

kept 4 fish weighing 4lb 10oz.

The top taking flies and lures included the Muddler, Sedgehog, CDC Hoppers,

Jungle Cock Snatchers and the Kate McLaren. All areas of the loch continue to fish

well.

2. FORBES OF KINGENNIE (Broughty Ferry) NO REPORT THIS WEEK

3. MARKLE (East Lothian) Tommy Dickson from Dunbar had the fish of the

week – a fine 1lbs 4oz rainbow that was take on a Diawl Bach. Jack Hay from

Haddington had a tremendous brace of fish weighing 17lbs- best 9lbs on a Dancer,

Mark Anderson, Musselburgh, had one at 10lbs 8oz on a Nymph and John Kerr,

Edinburgh, 3 weighing 9lbs 8oz on a Pheasant Tail Nymph. Christine Kronanbach

from Tranent had one at 10lbs 8oz on a Diawl Bach and David Wrinn, Haddington,

took one at 8lbs on a Raywood Nymph.

4. MORTON LOCH (Livingston) NO REPORT THIS WEEK

5. ORCHILL LOCH (Braco) The water has been fishing really with all types of

flies from dries to lures on the top or just under the surface and the fly life on the

water has been prolific. Alec Fitzsimmons from Fintry had 4 fish for 16lbs 8oz

including a couple of ‘twins’ at 5lbs 8oz – Buzzers did the damage. Tex Nicoll

from

Dancer, Richard Wilson, Alloa, used a Rob Roy to take a 3lbs 8oz specimen and

Allan Stirling,

Alloa took 3 for 8lbs 8oz on a CDC, Johnny Weir, Airdrie, 2 for 10lbs on a Sedge,

David Edge,

3 for 12lbs on a White Fritz. Jim Black from Stirling caught 4 fish weighing 10lbs on

dries, Harry Graham,

3 for 9lbs on a Soldier Palmer and Harry Robertson from Perth took 3 fish for 10lbs

8oz on Dabblers and Buzzers.

Cornton caught a brace weighing 10lbs – best 6lbs on a Yellow

Auchterarder, had 3 fish for 8lbs on a CDC. Roy Hatchard from

North Wales, 2 fish for 8lbs on a Black Fritz and Jim Kelly, Airdrie,

Glenrothes, 4 for 10lbss on a Daddy, Peter McLean, Alloa,

6. SWANSWATER (Stirling) It was another mixed week for fishing with the weather

still the dominating factor. Anglers are using a wide variety of flies, everything from

lures to dries, to attract fish. The biggest fish of the week, an 11lb Rainbow landed

by Gary Waugh fishing from the boat, took a size 14 Bibio on 4lb nylon.

rain when it colours up but quickly clears again.

John Moyes, Grangemouth, 8lb 12oz Blue. Angus Auchinachie, Falkirk, 2 Blues for

10lb 4ozs bigger one at 7lb 4oz, Billy Shepherd, Tillicoultry, 6lb 8oz Blue, Robert

McLean, Fallin, 2 Blues for 8lb 4oz from the small ponds bigger one at 6lb 2oz from

the Millpond, Robert Fyfe, Perth, 2 for 7lb 12oz from the Millpond including 5lb Blue

and Kevin Lowe, Larbert, 3 Blues for 12lb from the Millpond. Nan Morrison, Stirling, 5

for 13lb 12oz including a Blue and 3 Tigers, Steve Griffin, Kilsyth, 3 for 10lb, Tommy

Lynas, Milngavie, 2 for 7lb 8oz from the Millpond, Willie McDevitt, Edinburgh, 2 for

6lb 8oz including a Brown and Brian McIntosh, Banknock, 2 for 6lb 8oz including a

Blue. Frank Barr, Falkirk, 4 Blues for 11lb 4oz, Tam Anderson, Kincardine, 3 Tigers

for 8lb 4oz, Alec Sharp, Alloa, 3 for 9lb including a Blue, a Brown and a Tiger and

Robert McDonald, Glasgow, 2 Tigers for 5lb 12oz.
