Water Temperature – 18C, Clarity (Secchi disc)2.3m.
A WEE REMINDER THE A873 AT THORNHILL IS CLOSED THIS WEEK from 8am to 6pm detours are. The alternative route is A81, B8034 (Port-Arnprior), A811, B8075 (Gargunnock junction), A84 (Blair Drummond), A873 and vice versa.
It’s been a lovely couple of days with some bright sunshine so the fish are down a wee bit. So either a midge tip or slowglass seem to be the lines to use. Areas doing well include Cage bay, Malling shore, Sandy bay and the left hand side of Lochend. Red headed Damsels, corral booby, Cormorants and Diawl bachs.
Could you please remember to fill the catch return sheets even if you were on catch and release.
On Wednesday night heat 11 of the Boat league took place and the top bag Keir Hardie got his 12 on a Di 3 line at the lillies in the west end of Gateside bay. Keir picked up the James Bayne's Fishing Tackle Voucher. His rig was cormorant, emerger type thing, cormorant. 2nd top bag was Brian MacKenzie on dries. 3rd was Sandy Boag (he lifted the Southside Decorator's bottle of malt) on 6ft sink tip with a candy booby on the point and diawls higher up. With worst bags being removed Mr. Ramage is still in first place - but it will be a photo finish by the looks of things. In all the 26 anglers landed 106 fish (if you include George Whytes Guest fish - he had 13).
