Secchi Disk Clarity 2.1m 6ft water temperature 15.5C.
Not a lot of info on the go at the moment as there are some big competitions coming up and folk are canny about telling to much.. All the weekly stocking for the upcoming National Championship Final on Saturday 12th September have now been put in (1087). I spoke to one regular who has been commenting that the lake is fishing hard and he now thinks there is a "good head of fish in the place". On Saturday Thack AC caught 57 with 5 boats. Stanley AC had 25 for 69lbs with 5 boats. Grizzlecats caught 41 with 8 boats. Pentland Fly Fishers 6 boats 27 fish for 67lbs 8oz plus 20 returned.
New Ladies Champ:
On Sunday Liz Pringle became the new Scottish Ladies Champion with 8 fish on a very bright and breezy day. The 14 ladies caught 35 and weighed in 25 for 62lbs 8oz. . In second place was Jane Wright with 7 and 3rd Kathleen Shepard with 4. Liz got her fish at Lochend on a slow glass in breezy bright sunshine and was fishing a blob and diawl bachs which shared the catches equally.
