5. SWANSWATER (Stirling) The warm, mostly sunny days and, from the middle of the week, cool evenings and nights, led to some very good fishing conditions.   Up until midweek a lot of fish were showing on the surface, getting caught in top foot or so of the water and looking to chase small wet and dry flies.     The cool breeze and brighter sun towards the weekend sent them down a couple of feet and most were taken in the top 3 feet, where they were looking for small lures and nymphs fished on a slightly slower retrieve.   Once again the boats were doing very well, but there were still plenty fish being caught from all round the bank.   Favourite patterns this week included Buzzer, Sedgehog, Hopper, Daddy, Sedge, Bibio, Kate McLaren, Diawl Bach, Hare’s Ear, Damsel, Dancer and Tadpole. Opening hours are currently 8.00am to 8.30pm, every day.
