Lake fishing report

Fishing Report  26/05/15
Water Temp down to 10.5C. Clarity 1.7m

Buzzer fishing and dries have been the mainstay techniques, but of recent cat boobies, fabs and cats fished on a fast glass in the bright and breezy conditions or a full floater at night, have given top results – perhaps related to the fall off in clarity. Best areas: Road shore, Sam’s Point and Gateside Bay – or somewhere out of the wind!

Ian Scott from Glasgow netted and returned this fine trout from Gateside Bay at the weekend.Displaying ianscott.jpg

The UK Fire Service Game Angling Championships, Welshman P.Hooper was top rod with 11 fish, and the top Team were Wales D. The 50 rods caught 85 fish

The top five individuals were Paul O’Neill, Kenny Wood, Davy Hogg, Arthur Donnachie and Ronnie Hunter. Paul ONeill of Rowbank was top bag of the night (11 fish) and was fishing a full floater, booby, two cormorants and tequila fab on the point. Pulling. More Info at SANACC.org.uk
