International Angler Paul Garner from Denny caught his personal best Scottish brown trout (had a bigger one in Iceland I believe) when he was out practicing with the Scottish Fly Fishing Team on Monday 27th April.


Some wild and wintry weather this week. Best drifts have been the Butts, Lochend and Malling Shore but as usual good catches reported from almost all corners. Recent catches: The Scottish Team 6 boats - netted 145 trout. Stewarton AC 6 boats 29 fish for 64lbs, Scotsman AC 3 boats 20 trout 44 lbs plus 5rtd. Thack AC 6 boats 19 trout plus 35rtd,
