The licensing of air weapons in my opinion is crazy if not ludicrous, responsible folk who have air weapons do not go round shooting people, only guys who have no respect for the law will do that and they are the sort of folk who will not get a license !

Half the air rifles in circulation do not have serial numbers, I know this for a fact as I sell them therefore how are you going to tell one air rifle from another ?

There is supposedly 7 million air rifles in circulation, everything nowadays is done in triplicate who is going to pay for 21 million pieces of paper ?

How much wasted time is this going to take for the police to deal with when they could be doing something more important like arresting real criminals !

The woman who is protesting about her kid being shot was the woman who sold the drugs to the bloke who shot her kid ! Figure that out !

 This was a freak crime, my sympathies are with the mother of the child, loosing a child is / must be horrific however why should the responsible who do not sell drugs to criminals be lambasted with this knee jerk reaction.

Kenny Macaskill has jumped on this band wagon because he wants to be seen as a politician who is taking the high ground to be moralistically right.

We are taking another step to living in a big brother state and not being allowed to use our own judgement in how we live our lives !

As a kid we were told you only shoot animals (rabbits, pigeons) for the pot therefore I learned about butchery, different cuts of meat, and how to prepare the food, practical, hands on education !
