Another windy week with some fierce gusts meant that the best fishing was again in the sheltered drifts, and with
the wind swinging from south-west to north-west sheltered areas were a little variable. Good fishing was had at
Lochend, Tod Hole, Butts, Dog Isle, Stable Point/Gateside Bay. Various tactics from sink tip to fast intermediate
with diawl bachs, boobies, cormorants, cats and dancers.
Evening fishing commences on Wednesday 1st May and the first heat of the Scottish Club Championships
takes place on Saturday 4th May.
Below: Stevie Docherty and dog from Corpach had 16 fish in the shelter of the Butts on Monday 29th – willow
buds out and swallows on the wing. A good hatch of black buzzers was reported. Bottom: A rainbow lands in the
Rookery.
