1. FRANDY (Gleneagles) On the individual front Michael Emmery from Alva kept

4 fish for 10lbs, Greg Adamson and Ross Paterson, Alva, had 11 on a sporting

ticket,

Paterson, St Ninians caught and released 12. Robert Peden from Kelty caught

2 for 4lbs and released a further 8, John Speed, Glasgow, kept 6 for 14lbs and

Andy Hunter, Alloa, caught and released 12. Stuart Miller from Stenhousemuir

kept 4 fish for 10lbs and Brian Wilson, Perth, caught 3 fish for 8 lbs 8oz.On the

club front the Good Companions AC took 32 fish for 70lbs 14oz, the Kingfisher

AC had 38 for 87lbs 6oz and Tillicoultry AC kept 44 fish weighing 94lbs and

released 41. The top taking flies and lures have been the Yellow/Coral Dancer,

various Cormorants, Ace of Spades and the Bloodwoorm. The best fishing areas

have been on the south shore from the Smithcleuchs Burn to the dam wall.

2. FORBES OF KINGENNIE (Broughty Ferry) The fishing this week at Forbes of

Kingennie has really picked when the sun has decided to shine with some really

good catches coming from all the ponds. The second round of the Kingennie bank

championship was held on the Burnside on Saturday which came down to a nail

biting finish with only 8oz separating the top 3 rods. Kyle Stewart was the eventual

Robert Westwater, Glasgow, kept 2 fish weighing 4lbs and Bobby

winner with 6 fish for 12lb 4oz narrowly beating Steven Green into second place who

had 2 fish for 12lb with the largest, a huge fish for the Burnside weighing 9lb 4oz.

Kyle's winning method was Damsels and Hare's Ears on a Cortland blue and he will

now fish in the final in October. The next round will be on Saturday the 4th May for

those interested in fishing.

The Boathouse has become very clear with the lack of rain but the fish are really

spreading out around the pond which is making the sight fishing very good. The

Willis party took 16 fish for 78lb on Saturday with most fish falling to Yellow Dancers

and small black flies.

The Bankside has also cleared and the fishing has really improved with lots of fish

to be seen on the surface taking dries. The fish have spread out but the first bay all

the way up to the dam wall has been producing most fish. The top flies have been

a yellow dancers and hot head damsels if you are fish lures but black and green

Buzzers and Crunchers have been the best wee flies. Some of the top catches

this week have been Brian Bartlet with 2 fish for 6lb and a further 10 returned Mr

Simpson took caught and released 15 fish in just a few hours.

The Woodside has continued to produce lots of fish with a fish of 3lb 9oz caught by

Mr Webster being the biggest of the week. Powerbait and spinners are still the most

productive methods.

On Thursday the 11th of April we will have Stan Headley doing a fly tying

demonstration starting at 7.30 pm. Admission is free and we encourage anyone with

an interest in tying and fishing to please come along to see what is sure to be a great

tying demonstration.

3. MARKLE (East Lothian) NO REPORT THIS WEEK

4. ORCHILL LOCH (Braco) With the frosty mornings and the sun shining some of

the time it has been a good fishing week with plenty of fish being caught. Most of

the fish are being caught about 3 - 4 feet down with a wide variety of flies doing well,

Buzzers, Butcher, Bloodworm,Yellow Dancer, Various Fritzes with an very slow

retrieve.Today the Harbour Lights from Ayrshire had a good day catching 40 fish for

92lbs 4oz with David Watson taking the heaviest basket with 4 fish for 10lbs 8oz.

5. SWANSWATER (Stirling). The cold continues to dominate although the water

temperature has risen slightly this week – from 3oC at the start of the week to 5oC

on Saturday and Sunday, which is still well below the seasonal average.

8oz including a Tiger. Joe Greenhorn, Kelty, 3 for 8lb 4oz including 3lb 12oz Brown,

Russell Babiak, Stirling, 2 for 6lb 8oz including a Tiger and Ben Grant, Kelty, 4lb

Tiger.
