Issued by Jim Boyd on behalf of the following fisheries on Tuesday, 14 February
2012
The following reports are for the week ending Sunday, 12 February, 2012.

1. FRANDY (Gleneagles) Frandy Fishery in Gleneagles will open their door for 2012

business, weather permitting, on Thursday 1st March. It’s usually still cold up there

at that time so the fish will be lying deep but something in a black/green combination

is pretty certain to do the business.

2. FORBES OF KINGENNIE (Broughty Ferry) NO REPORT THIS WEEK

3. HOLL (Fife) NO REPORT UNTIL MARCH 2012

4. MARKLE (East Lothian) It was very quiet due to the fishery having been iced over

for well over a week but the good news is that the ice finally melted off last week-

end. Matty Devine from Hagston celebrated the re-opening with a great catch of 12

on catch and release including a fine 16lb 4oz rainbow – most of the fish fell to the

charms of a Bloodworm. Jack Hay from Haddington used a Dancer to take one of

11lbs and Tommy Dickson, Dunbar, had a tremendous 15lb 3oz specimen on an

Okey Dokey.

5. MORTON LOCH (Livingston) NO REPORT THIS WEEK

6. ORCHILL LOCH (Braco) The ice is completely cleared from the water now and

hopefully that will be the fishery open for the rest of the week as the forecast looks to

be mild again.

7. ORCHIL LOCH COARSE PONDS (Braco) NO REPORTS UNTIL MARCH 2012

8. SWANSWATER (Stirling) It was generally a very good week for fishing at

For much of the week the fish were fairly deep and taking a variety of small lures,
