2011.The following report is for the week ending Sunday, 06 November 2011.
1. FRANDY (Gleneagles) NOW CLOSED UNTIL SPRING 2012
2. FORBES OF KINGENNIE (Broughty Ferry) LATE REPORT TO FOLLOW
3. HOLL (near Kinross) NO REPORT THIS WEEK
4. MARKLE (East Lothian) With the poor weather and the start of the ‘run up’ to
Christmas not so many anglers have been in evidence but this did not stop Tommy
Dickson from Dunbar taking a cracker of a rainbow on a Black Dancer that tipped the
scales at 16lbs. Jack Stevenson from Ormiston had one at 12lbs 8oz on a Dancer, J
Gray, Edinburgh, one at 10lbs 120z on a Dancer, Andy Adshead, Edinburgh, one at
10lbs 2oz on a Bloodworm and Jack Hay, Haddington, one at 10lbs 8oz on a Buzzer.
5. MORTON FISHERY (Livingston) NO REPORT THIS WEEK
6. ORCHILL LOCH (Braco) The touch of frost at the weekend has made a pleasant
change from rain at Orchill. A dry frosty sunny day is good for fishing but the fish are
only down a foot or two and are being caught with Buzzers, Damsel Nymph, Hare's
Ear, Black and Green Fritz, Pinkie and the Yellow Dancer.
Featuring amongst the top catches was Dave Wilkie from Stirling with 5 fish for
16lbs 8oz on a Gold Damsel, Hamish Carmichael, Alloa, 3 for9lbs on a Hot Head
Damsel, William Barr, Falkirk, 5 fish 13lbs 8oz on a Black & Gold Fritz, Jim Russell,
Falkirk, 5 fish for 12lbs 4oz on a Black & Gold Fritz and Jock Esplin, Bonnybridge,
3 for 10lbs on a Braco Bug. William Baff from Falkirk caught 3 fish weighing 8lbs
8oz on a Pinkie, Harry Graham, Glenrothes, 5 for 12lbs on a Bloodworm, S Mitchell,

Damsel and Dave Dorris, Airdrie took 3 for 9lbs on a Black Cat.
7. ORCHIL LOCH COARSE PONDS (Braco) NEXT REPORT SPRING 2012
8. SWANSWATER (Stirling) The first of a large batch of Tiger trout were stocked
this week with quite a few caught as well. Anglers lucky enough to hook one of the
lovely looking fish were delighted to report that they lived up to their name and gave
a tremendous fight. The tigers are stocked in all three ponds and the first one landed
was taken from the Millpond by Euan Henderson, Paisley. For most of the week the
fish were sitting between 2 and 4 feet down and taking a wide variety of flies usually
on a fairly fast retrieve. Favourite patterns included Damsel, Dancer, Cat’s Whisker,
Hare’s Ear, Diawl Bach, Buzzer, Bloodworm and even Daddy Long Legs and Hopper
fished just under the surface. The frosty nights combined with bright days at the
weekend made things a little harder, but contrary to expectation the fish were still
not deep. Now that the clocks have changed fishery opening hours are 8.00am to
5.00pm.
The biggest fish of the week was a cracking 11lb 1oz Rainbow/Blue cross taken by
Dave Cormack, Scone and Robin Bowler, Sauchie, had a great bag of 5 for 22lb
