LATE REPORT

KINGENNIE (Broughty Ferry) The past week at Kingennie has seen some fantastic rises on the Bankside and Burnside Pools with the ponds really coming to life in the evenings during the last couple of hours of light. The CDC and Sugar Cube Shipman Buzzers are also doing well.

The water in the Boathouse Pool has had a wee bit of colour in it but this has not put the fish or the anglers off. Intermediate lines have worked best teamed up with lures such as the White Polar Bear and the Green Pea. Most of the fish this week have been around the 4.5 to 5.5lb mark with the odd fish just over 8lb.The biggest fish of the week went to Andrew Taylor of Perth who managed to land a cracking blue of 8lb 3oz on a UV White Polar Bear.

The Burnside Pool has fished well this week with most anglers going home with bag limits and some going on to return up to 20 fish in four hours. Anglers on day tickets have had great sport with fish chasing lures during the day and then switching to dries for the evening. The flies that have done really well have been olive, black and red Shuttle Cock CDCs and Sugar Cube Shipman Buzzers in all colours

The Bankside Pool has seen fish average 2.3lb this week but the biggest fish of the week was an absolute cracking brownie of approximately 7lb that was caught and released.

On the Woodside Pool spinning with small Mepps has been the way to bag up this week but green Power Bait and maggots have also done the business.
