SWANSWATER

The weather continues to affect both angler numbers and fishing
conditions. There were a two or three decent dry days midweek, but
the end of the week saw Storm Ciara bring very strong winds and
torrential rain. Water temperature dropped by 1oC and water clarity
was good until after the rain on Saturday. For most of the week the
fish were in the top 2 to 3 feet with the channel, island and bridge
areas being the best places to find them. Dancer, Cat’s Whisker,
Blob, Diawl Bach, Bibio, Bloodworm and Buzzer were the favourite
patterns this week. Plenty of top-quality Rainbows in the 4lb to
5lb range were hooked this week plus some cracking Golds and Tigers.
