The Lake of Menteith boat league sponsored by James Bayne fishing tackle began again last Wednesday. I was partnered up with Colin Macdonald who recently qualified for the Scottish internationals.
I was told it was going to lash it down, not wanting to sit in the rain all night I was going to make an appearance and then head however the evening cleared up by the time I arrived so I decided to give it a shot.
In retrospect I should have just gone home as I blanked again, a sense of deja vu came upon me as I blanked on the opening evening last year...well I've got to give these guys a chance !
My boat partner caught four real beauties and should have had five, congratulations to Ken Oliver who won the evening with eight ! and gets the James Bayne gift voucher £25.00.
