2. FORBES OF KINGENNIE (Broughty Ferry) Summer seems to of arrived early this

year at Forbes of Kingennie with unseasonably high temperatures making the fishing

quite interesting. The water in all the ponds has remained very clear and with the

bright sunshine the fish haven't been easily fooled.

The Boathouse has still fished well to lures but smaller flies have been the way

forward. The Orange Blob has taken some fish but the Black Buzzers has been the

most consistent with Mr Bartlet taking 3 fish for 16lb on a team of Buzzers.

The Bankside fish have been quite fussy with most fish falling to Buzzers and dries.

The have been fish coming to the lures but with the water so clear they are a wee

bit choosy. There has been a huge amount of fish on the surface but they have

been very picky with very small flies being the key. Mr Whyte and his son did well on

Sunday taking 4 fish for 12lb and putting a further 6 back.

The Burnside has been the most consistent pond with fish falling to all methods

small Damsels and White Cats on an intermediate line have taking a lot of fish.

Again black buzzer have been lethal, Mr Ian Ferguson had a unexpected result when

he took 7 rainbows and a 10lb common carp all on a home tied Black Buzzer on

Monday morning.

The Woodside pool level has dropped but the fishing has still been very productive

with Powerbait continuing to be the most successful method. Mr Mears took 4 fish for

9lb on Monday morning.

to book a space on 01382 350777.
