Lake of Menteith 21/4/15
Secchi Disk Water Clarity: 3m Water Temperature 6ft: 10C
This rare shot of a flattened rainbow was taken by angler Kevin Lynch. Catches during the last week have continued to be buzzer style (washing line or hanging straight down) with Lochend and Hotel Bay to Sam’s Point doing well. Falkirk Municipal 6 boats 25 fish for 66lbs and 16rtd, Scottish Youth 6 boats 85 fish rtd, Tillicoultry AC 2 boats 8 fish for 20lbs and 33 rtd, Badenoch AC 7 Boats 14 fish 33lbs plus 6rtd, Milngavie 4 boats 14 fish 33lbs plus 7rtd, Ayr Travellors 9 boats 173rtd, Falkirk FD 4 boats 30 trout for 73lbs 10rtd, SSEB 8 boats 41 trout 99lbs. A lot of practising for the first heat of the SANACC Scottish Fly Fishing Championships has meant much returning of fish through the week with little being given away in terms of successful tactics.
