Was a good evening on the Lake of Menteith last night with the James Bayne sponsored boat league. Alan McLachlan and I set out at 6pm with everyone else in hot pursuit, we decided to start at the nets , good choice as with 10 mins I caught my first of the eve with a small white boobie on a midge tip line, after a short spell there we moved over to Sam point where Alan hit his first on a boobie too, he then got a second and I lost one however it wasn't long before I got my second and third on a little red buzzer, we both missed a few more, the conditions were perfect.
George Whyte caught 11, Ken Oliver caught 9 and Keir Hardy caught 8. The winner of the James Bayne 325.00 voucher this week was Colin McDonald.
18 Fishermen caught between them 93 fish, pretty good going for a few hours evening fishing.
