Last night saw week 6 of the Lake of Menteith boat league sponsored by James Bayne fishing tackle.
and what an evening, conditions were lovely except early on maybe too bright with a nice gentle breeze, there were some ominous rain clouds that fortunately blew over by the end of the evening the water had just a gentle ripple on it with fish showing all over.
Congratulations go to Will Ramage with an astonishing 16 fish, fishing the Malling shore and gets the £25.00 voucher, 2nd was P clark with 11 and 3rd James Fairlie with 10 Unfortunately my boat partner Dave Stewart blanked and I got one bite and one fish a nice rainbow around 3lb on a dry Sedge hog at the cages.
There was the most amazing sunset and the evening only started to get dark as we came off the water at 11pm soon be the longest day !
