Trades house fishing
As convener of fishing I organized the third outing of the Incorporation of Skinners and Glovers of the Trades house of Glasgow fishing event which was held on the Carron reservoir.
Unfortunately when I booked the outing I forgot that there was a bank holiday w/e beginning of May so my apologies to the members for not booking a better day, as it turned out only myself and my brother could make to do.
The day began nice and bright so I thought I would travel there on my new motor cycle GSXR 1000CC however once we were on the water the day got progressively wet and quite windy with a rather chill wind.
We were told by Jimmy and Ian who have taken over since Fraser left last year that the top end was fishing well.
Carron is a very big water so it took a while, there were a number of boats out, we found a couple of nice spots but it was hard going after a while Christopher pulled in a little brownie, after an early lunch I got a slightly bigger one, Chris lost what looked like a big one and then got another slightly bigger brown all returned.
As the day was getting on and we were getting colder, with some nasty looking fronts coming in we decided we had enough.
So big thanks to Ian and the guys for helping me to get my bike jumped started as I had left the parking lights on !
Will be organizing another event later in the year, watch this space details coming soon.
