1. FRANDY (Gleneagles) NOW CLOSED UNTIL MARCH 2013

2. FORBES OF KINGENNIE (Broughty Ferry) NO REPORT THIS WEEK

3. MARKLE (East Lothian) Peter Craig from Dunbar used a Blob to take a terrific

16lb 6oz rainbow that proved to be the heaviest fish of the week, Bruce Hunter from

Edinburgh wasn’t far behind with a 14lbs specimen taken on a Black Lure whilst

Tommy Dickson, Dunbar had a nice one at 12lbs 8oz on a Hare’s Ear. Also doing

well was Keith Watson from Edinburgh with 3 for 12lbs on Nymphs, Gordon Dagg,

Pathead, took a fabulous brace weighing in at 27lbs – best fish 15lbs on a Mini Cat

and Steven Morris, Tranent, had a 3lbs brownie on a Daddy – the fish was safely

returned. The Gladhope FFC had a good outing taking 23 fish for 47lbs 4oz, Gary

Parmley, Ashington, had 3 for 26lbs 8oz including specimens of 12lbs 8oz and

12lbs on the Okey Dokey and Colin Young from Bilston took one at 11lbs 13oz on

a Damsel. Jim Mackie from Fife had 3 for 14lbs 2oz including one at 9lbs 2oz on a

CDC, David Bradshaw had 3 for 15lbs 2oz – best 10lbs 12oz on a FAB and H Jeffrey

took 3 for 13lbs 14oz – best 11lbs 10z on a Diawl Bach.

4. MORTON LOCH (Livingston) NO REPORT THIS WEEK

5. ORCHILL LOCH (Braco) The changeable weather last week has seen the fish

being caught just under the surface to 2- 3 feet down, still with floating lines - it is all

you need all year round. A wide variety of flies are doing well from Kate McLaren to

all colours of lures. On Saturday the Cambusbarron Club had a cold day, as the

sun kept disappearing, with Harry Peattie taking the heaviest basket with 4 fish for

10lbs on a Pink Snake. The Union & Crown Club from Barrhead were also visiting

with John Allwar taking the heaviest basket with 4 fish for 14lbs 4oz – best 5lbs

on a Black Cat. Also doing well was Eleanor Harrison from Crieff with 1 fish for

2lbs on a Bloodworm, David McRitchie, Perth, 2 for 10lbs – best 8lbz on a Beano,

Harry Robertson, Perth, 3 for 10lbs 8oz on an Orange Lure and Johnny Weir

from Airdrie used a Gold Head Hare’s Ear to take 3 fish weighing 9lbs. Jim Kelly

Alloa, 3 for 12lbs – best 5lbs 8oz on a Damsel, John Beatson, Alloa, 3 for 7lbs 8oz

on a Green Fritz, G. Thow, Lochgelly, 2 for 7lbs 8oz – best 5lbs on an Orange4

Nomad and Ray Lovell from Tillicoultry took 2 for 9lbs 8oz – best 6lbs 8oz on a

Hot Head Damsel. Hugh Bratchie from Lochgelly took 5 fish for 14lbs 12oz – best

3lbs 4oz on a Yellow Dancer, Jim Carrick, Cumbernauld 4 fish for 16lbs on a Kate

McLaren, Henry Laurence Jnr, Glasgow, 3 fish for 11lbs on a Black & Green Fritz

and Henry Laurence Snr, Glasgow, 3 fish for 7lbs on an Orange Fritz.

6. SWANSWATER (Stirling) It was another good week for fishing at Swanswater

with crystal clear water and good conditions all round. The colder weather towards

the end of the week led to a 2o drop in water temperature with the result that the

Tigers have become more active again and a few more were caught over the

weekend.

3 for 10lb 4oz. John Moonie, Queenzieburn, 3 for 10lb including a Blue and Eddie

McKillop and 14 year old son, Eddie, Glasgow, shared 4 for 10lb with young Eddie

taking 2 for 7lb including 4lb 10oz Rainbow.
