Dow Burn to the dam wall and on the South Shore from the fishery lodge to dam the

2. FORBES OF KINGENNIE (Broughty Ferry) It seems as though the Osprey has
probably commenced its migration to Africa as it hasn't made its usual visits to
Kingennie this week. However, the winter robin has arrived and has already been in
the shop to search for food. Clear water conditions a large amount of natural food
has made fishing quite challenging but very interesting. Despite this there have been
some excellent catches from all the ponds. Several blue trout have been landed;
these are solid fish and in superb condition.
Lures have been the main takers in the Boathouse Pool with the Yellow Dancer and
black/green colours achieving the best results. Tom Duncan had four fish for 23lbs
8oz and the majority of fish have been in the 5-6lbs range with the occasional bigger
specimen showing. Even larger fish have been sighted but have evaded capture.
The Burnside Pool produced well early and later in the week but had a dour spell
around midweek. Successful flies varied from CDCs, through Hoppers and Buzzers
to small lures. The Woodside, any legal method pond, finished the week strongly
with Powerbait and maggots accounting for some limit bags. On the Bankside
Hoppers and Floating Fry have had success with catches mirroring those of the
Burnside.
On Sunday the fishery were delighted to again host the Casting for Recovery day;
this proved to be a great success with everyone enjoying themselves. A big "THANK
YOU" to all involved.
3. MARKLE (East Lothian) Jackie Hay from Haddington had a good week taking
