The following reports are for the week ending Sunday, 11 March, 2012.

1. FRANDY (Gleneagles) On the individual front Jim Sheehan & Peter Tong from

Bridge of Allan kept 12 fish weighing 23lb 4oz, Stuart Hardy (Stenhousemuir) &

Steven Pass (Alva) fishing with a sporting ticket caught and released 36, season

Ticket holder Robert Peden (Kelty) kept 1 fish weighing 6lb and released 5 and Allan

Hawthorne (Inverkeithing) 2 fish for 6lb and released 8. Robert Bell & Gerry Porter

from Grangemouth had 8 fish for 17lb, Duncan McCallum (Renton) 5 fish for 10lb,

Colin Brown (Alloa) 5 for 10lb 14oz, Paul Shaw (Sauchie) 5 fish weighing 11lb and

Alastair Golding (Linlithgow) kept 4 fish weighing 9lb.

The top taking lures included the Olive Fritz Damsel, Bloodworm, Coral Dancer, Ace

of Spades, Black Zonker and the Nomad whilst the best fishing area was the south

shore.

2. FORBES OF KINGENNIE (Broughty Ferry) LATE REPORT TO FOLLOW

3. HOLL (Fife) NO REPORT UNTIL MARCH 2012

4. MARKLE (East Lothian) A Cooley from Edinburgh had a tremendous brace

weighing in at 25lbs 12oz with the heaviest tipping the scales at 14lbs 4oz – both fish

were taken on a Damsel Nymph. Jackie Hay from Haddington took 4 for 23lbs 8oz –

comprising rainbows that weighed 8lbs 8oz, 7lbs and a couple at 4lbs each – all on

mini lures, Jacky Dyatt, Dalkeith, 10on C+R – best 9lbs on a Damsel, Keith Watson,

Amble, 3 for 12lbs on a Black Lure and Mattie Devine, Hagston, used a Zonker to

catch a nice fish of 6lbs.

5. MORTON LOCH (Livingston) NO REPORT THIS WEEK

6. ORCHILL LOCH (Braco) It nice change in the weather has seen the water fishing

very well with the depth varying with the wind. All colours have been taking fish with

the Damsel, Black & Green Fritz, Yellow Dancer, Orange Fritz, Pinky and Buzzers

are doing well. There have been a lot of flies hatching out as well – a good sign that

spring is well on its way.

On Saturday the Linden FFC from Stirling had a good morning taking 32 fish for

79lbs 120z with Tam McEwan's Pinkie doing best although the heaviest bag was

taken by John Wright with 4 fish for 10lbs 8oz on his favourite fly the Rainbow

Warrior. Brian Yeman from Cumbernauld took 4 fish for 11lbs 8oz on a Damsel,

Kenny Davies, Cumbernauld, 4 fish for 11lbs 4oz on a Damsel, Walter Davies,

Cumbernauld, 3 for 8lbs 2oz on a Damsel and Hugh Bratchie from Lochgelly used

a Yellow Dancer to take 3 for 8lbs. Neil Beuer from Falkirk caught 3 for 8lbs on

Buzzers, Sandy Watson, Pitlochry, 3 for 9lbs 8oz on a Yellow Dancer, Robert Kerr,

Callander, 2 for 5lbs on a Black Fritz, William Smith, Menstrie, 2 for 5lbs on a Black

& Green Fritz and Allan Mitchell from Stirling managed a brace for 6lbs on a Lime

& Pink Fritz. Peter MacDonald from Edinburgh caught 3 fish weighing 8lbs on a Hot

Head Damsel, Eaddie McGowan, Renton, 3 fish for 10lbs on a Damsel and Roy

McLaren from Denny 2 fish for 5lbs 8oz on a Montana Nymph.

7. ORCHIL LOCH COARSE PONDS (Braco) NO REPORTS UNTIL MARCH 2012

8. SWANSWATER (Stirling) There was some excellent fishing this week at

Swanswater although the windy conditions towards the end of the week sent the

fish deeper and made things a bit more difficult.

Bathgate, 2 for 6lb 4oz and Davy Horne, Stirling 2 Tigers for 5lb from the Millpond.
