Once again all areas of the fishery are performing well.
Best Areas: All areas.
2. FORBES OF KINGENNIE (Broughty Ferry) The fishery has been fishing well over
the past week with all ponds taking good numbers of fish. The cooler weather and
flush of freshwater over the last week has made the fishing easier. The Bankside
is at last getting back on form with most anglers coming off with their fish. Most
methods have been taking fish but Buzzers and Dries are the top method with small
Black and Olive Buzzers and the CDC being the favoured patterns. Black and red
lures and the White Humongous have also taken lots of fish. also. The top catches
this week have been L Smart with 4 for 10lb and 9 returned, D Cox 2 for 5lbs and 11
returned and D Smith 10 returned.
The Boathouse has been fishing well but it has been hard work with the need to go
down in fly size and line weight to get the results. The top method has been nymphs
such as the Cruncher and small lures such as the Montana and the Damsel Nymph.
The top bags this week have been I Meldrum with 4 for 22lbs – best 8lbs and T
Morgan 2 for 12lbs – best 7lbs 8oz.
The Woodside has been producing lots and lots of fish to a number of methods but
the worm still seems to be the most popular. Power bait and sweet corn have still
been taking their fair share of the fish. The top bags have been N Brown with 6 for
9lbs, D Whiteford 4 for 6lbs and the Drury Lodge AC took 36 fish for 64lb.
The Burnside has been fishing very consistently with very good numbers of fish
coming out. They are being caught on most methods with Buzzers (olive) and
Crunchers being the best option. Lures are still taking plenty of fish but smaller
flies seem to be more effective. Damsels, mini Yellow Dancers and Cormorants
have been the top lures. One of the brig browns was caught and released through
the week with a weight estimated at 10-12lba. The top bags this week have been
R Watson with 4 for 6lb and 10 returned, D Bett 2 for 4lbs and 8 returned and C
Donaldson 11 returned.

4. MARKLE (East Lothian) LATE REPORT TO FOLLOW
5. MORTON FISHERY (Livingston) NO REPORT THIS WEEK
6. ORCHILL LOCH (Braco) The weather was certainly very mixed for most of the
week with the fish generally to be found just under the surface with dries, Damsel,
Hare's Ear and Buzzers have been the most popular flies
On Saturday the rain the Linden FFC caught plenty of fish with the heaviest bags
going to Robert Wright and Gordon Porter who both had 5 fish for 15lbs 2oz and
young Ryan Seath who had joined them had 5 fish for 15lbs 8oz.
Also doing well was Jim Prentice from Tullibody with 5 for 14lbs on a Damsel;
George McLuskey from Spittalfield took a brace weighing 8lbs on an Orange Fritz,
Frank Armstrong, Bankfoor, 4 for 11lbs on Dries and John Cowie, Crieff, 3 fish

a Damsel, Kenny MacLeod, Perth, 3 for 10lbs on a Sedge Pupae, Fay MacLeod,

from Perth had 4 fish for 9lbs 4oz on Dries, Ian Bayne, Dunblane, 3 for 9lbs 4oz on a
Mini Muddler, David Murray, Bridge of Allan, 2 for 6lbs on a Black Buzzer and Willie

Gleave, had a superb 80lb catch of mixed fish from the Midton Lake.
8. SWANSWATER (Stirling) The ever changing weather conditions at the fishery led
to mixed fortunes this week. The slightly calmer days at the start of the week saw
the fish remain high in the water with many anglers enjoying some top of the water
action with dry fly, including Daddy and Heather Fly, proving very effective. Other
patterns doing well were Kate McLaren, Spider, Diawl Bach and Snatcher. As the
week went on the anglers had to battle against the deteriorating weather conditions
and the fish went deeper in the water, intermediate lines were required with a
mixture of smaller lures working well, these included Hot Head Damsel, Dancer, Ace
of Spades and Bunny Leach.
The biggest Brown of the season was caught this week (weighing 7lb) along with
some other superb smaller Browns featuring in the catches. Danny Doherty, Denny,
